Orange County Help

I just moved to Orange County (Irvine/Newport Beach border) and some family is coming in from out of town to visit from the Bay Area. I need some good places that I can take them. One of them is gluten free but willing to eat pretty much anything else. Big ethnic eaters, but I would prefer not to go have tacos or pho. Lunch and dinner recs would be helpful. Max price about $35-40 each, not including alcohol. Thank you!!

Andrei's Conscious Cuisine on Main north of Jamboree—good happy hour too; Memphis in Costa Mesa. Avanti Cafe on 17th. Sushi Shibucho on 19th (table omakase is $40 I think). Habuya (Okinawan) in Tustin; Traditions (Indian) in the same plaza. Sol Cocina (Mexican) on PCH in Newport; Chong Qing Mei Wei (Sichuan) on Jeffrey and Walnut in Irvine; Darya (Persian) near South Coast Plaza; Xanh Bistro (Vietnamese) on Brookhurst and Edinger in Fountain Valley.

    None of these are holes-in-the-wall.
