FYI, live spotted prawns are available at Foody Mart ( Warden and Steeles ) at $11.88 per pound. If sold out, try T&T up the road. A bit more expensive at $13.88 per pound but still a bargain, IMO.!

Thanks for the tip! I wonder if there's any left anywhere. I had dimsum at Crown Princess this morning and the table next to me had a plate of steamed spot prawns that looked very good! I shall hunt for some tomorrow...

Fung Tai at Bamburge Circle $11.99 per pound. Just got 1 pound there and 2 pound at T&T. I am going to have it soon.

Hello skylineR33! Why only 1 lb from Fung Tai? Have they sold out?! How are you cooking them? Since they are so fresh, I like the HK ' plain boil' ( Bak Cheuk method ). Off dry Riesling to go with them?

Sold out in both places! Thats saturday morning. However, I did get some 'live Louisiana crayfish' @ $5.99 per pound!

Me too for round one! Went to McCowan store to avoid the parking.. Wanted round two but already sold out saturday morning! Bought also some canner size lobster for lobster bisque! ( now the wife wanted HK style lobster potato egg salad instead?! )

Thanks Charles for the tip on these prawns. I got some at the T&T Mississauga location this afternoon. There weren't that many left. Did hot pot (Da Bean Lou) with them. Delish! =)
