Steve's Restaurant (8100 Yonge Street location)

Has anyone dined here recently?

I'd like to know if it's worth the drive (I'm in north east Scarborough), and it's a bit of a trek during Friday evening rush hour.

I took a look at their entrees, prices seem reasonable, but I have no idea about the food, portions size or service.

worth the drive as in being a destination? no no no, the food is good for the price and fairly consistent, but definitely not intended for treks outside the hood

It would be about a 45 minute drive, I'm guessing. Thanks for your feedback.

While i dont' think its a Long distant food destination, i have been there and travelled from around the same distance as yourself and found it to be fair priced for the portions and above avg for breakfast/brunch items that we tried compared to the very few decent places you would find in scarborough for a similar menu

I've only been for breakfast, but have no complaints in regards to the portions or quality.

It can get busy and I find the place can be quite loud.

If you're in the neighbourhood or even passing through, I'd say it's worth stopping by, not so sure it's worth a 45 minute trip on it's own.

We had lunch there last weekend and it was quite good. I had the chicken souvlaki, the dressing was tasty and I went home and tried to recreate it (very close)! My friend had the Hot Roast Beef, she didn't like it at all. I tried a a bit of the beef and it was chewy and had an odd texture, not sure if it was the cut of beef or how it was cooked? The gravy was super salty. She didn't eat the rest of her lunch and I shared mine, so I could try the pancakes.

I heard their Greek Salad is very popular (according to our waiter).
