Burgers and Beers
Any great places for burgers and beer? Los Feliz, Glendale, Westside..

The Six on Pico in West LA has a very good burger, and the tapped beer-side is bolstered by an "endless" beer option that I just found out about when I dropped by on Memorial Day. I think it's offered only during their daytime service on weekends, and they will feature a tapped beer (it was Great White whitbier on Monday) for $7 a glass, or $10 for the "endless" beer option.

Rustic Canyon has an awesome Burgers and Beers Monday night. Essentially burger and beer pairings.

Sadly, the burger at Rustic Canyon is oily, 18 buck, chuck. There are better choices all around that joint. I would suggest trying Upper West at 3321 Pico. Full bar, nice beer selection and FAR superior burgers at a much better price.

The Village Idiot on Melrose has a great burger and good beers too. Lots of good upscale pub fare. I guess it is a gastropub. Service is good and I haven't had anything on the menu that wasn't good. I tried Go Burger and was very dissapointed by both the burger and the sides. I tried Golden State several times and the burger was very poor as were all of the sides and hot dogs. Also, it is a loud small uncomfortable room.

Ladyface Alehouse & Brasserie in Agoura Hills. Not only is their beer great, their burgers kill.

Waterloo & City is my favorite. Eclectic pub food. Not necessarily burgers but the short ribs rock. Culver City
Golden State - Mid Wilshire. Awesome lamb burgers on Thursdays. Turkey burgers are good.
I hear hounds (some, not all) love Umami in Los Feliz.
Rustic Canyon is awesome for burger and beer, but also wine. Nook has a great burger and decent beer selection.

I've been dying to try blue Dog Tavern in Sherman Oaks. And it depends on where yor priority lies: great burger or great election of beer. I hear the Tavern has both.

Just an update. Got a chance to grab a late lunch at Blue Dog Tavern today. It has a large but not overwhelming selection of beers, with about 10 taps, all different styles of beer and none of the usual suspects. Also about 8 different types of burgers, with interesting combinations. I ordered the Blue Dog, which had mushrooms, thick sliced bacon, swiss and caramelized onions. Burger was cooked to order, hot, juicy and tasty. On a grilled bun, with a side of their house root beer bbq sauce, which was really tasty with the fries. The fries were also very good, skin on, thick cut, crispy but soft on the inside, but a tad underseasoned for me. I'd definitely go back.
They are on Saugus Street, where the 405 & 101 meet. Here's a pic of the burger:

Bugers and Beer.. First things that pops into my head? Father's Office. Course they only have 1 type of burger so it's more "Burger and Beer", not "Burgers and Beer".
