Your favorite places for breakfast in Ventura?

Would love to hear where you like to go for breakfast on the weekend in Ventura. Hoping to meet with 2 other 50-something friendgirlfriends for breakast this Saturday. Thanks in advance!

I agree that Tuttis is great, especially on a nice day. Sit outside. But be patient with service. Mrs Olsens is pretty good but be ready to wait a while before you can get in if you have a party larger than 2. The imporium in Ojai is even better than Mrs Olsens. And Zzyzx in Camarillo is a wonderful breakfast place.

Thanks all. Now it has morphed into lunch at Cafe Nouveau, but will keep these suggestions for the future!

If you don't mind a little drive, go to the Camarillo Airport cafe. Sit in the sun on the tarmac and watch the planes come/go. Really a nice spot. Worth it. GREAT BREAKFASTS!

I totally agree kitchen queen, just discovered this gem the other day. It was a beautiful day and planes were landing in the distance and the food was awesome! A bit on the pricey side , but worth it!

If you are not in a hurry (as their service can be slow and a little on the bumbling side of the ledger at times) then I can recommend Tutti's off Main. I had some seriously good pancakes there once and then another time some very good huevos rancheros.

I did a search and got this...Mrs Olsen's is right on the beach and has that kickback mellow ambience to it.

Hey, Simi - how can this place be right on the beach and have no view (according to someone in the other thread you linked)? Seems really odd.

I have been to Mrs. Olson's a few times. It is a little outside the Channel Islands Harbor. It is about a block off the beach, and the frontage does not look out to the water, hence no view. It is fun and friendly, with pretty decent wait times when crowded. Food is good but basic, not expensive but not a bargain either.

I have a buddy who has a boat in the Harbor and he loves it. When I come up around breakfast or lunch time, we always go there.

If this Tutti's is the same owners as the one one that used to be across from the courthouse and on the main drag in Montecito, I would whole heartedly recommend it. I loved those places, eating there as often as I could when I was in the area. Next time I am headed up the coast, this will be my breakfast spot.

I just looked on Yelp and they have very mixed reviews. Like I sad, I loved the 2 spots in SB. Probably my favorite breakfast/brunch spot around. I would do a day trip to SB from OC with one of the main points of eating here. I am just not sure if the spots are related or not.
