quick! - help me narrow my choices for dinner on the strip on saturday
Hi, I have been charged with finding (at the last minute) a dinner spot for 8 people (reservations!) on Saturday. The following places have availability. Can someone weigh in? this is the only dinner reservation we are making so hopefully it can be a good one.
Scarpetta (Italian) @ Cosmopolitan
The Mix (Ines' suggestion) @ Mandalay - great views, seats outside
Aureole @ Manadaly - contemporary american
Stripsteak (Steak) @ mandalay -
AGO (Italian) @ Hard Rock
Comme Ca (French) @ Comsopolitan
El Sefundo SOl (Mexian) - across from Wynn
Lupo (Italian by Wolfgang Puck)
Dal Toro (Italian) @ the Venetian
Postria (Italian) @ The Venetian

The mexican place across from the Wynn is very casual...most of your other choices are more upscale. Mix does have great views and outdoor tables, but I found the food disappointing. I liked the food at Scarpetta. Comme Ca had good food but was exceedingly rackety. Aureole is a bit more formal than your other choices.....depends what you are looking for and how much you want a more quiet atmosphere where people can hear one another, or a more festive, but louder environment...

I suggest Jaleo or STK as well in the Cosmopolitan. If rackety is what you are looking for, these are the places for you. STK has a dj in the restaurant and Jaleo blasts the music so loud that you have to yell to talk.
You can check Comme Ca, Jaleo and STK out as they are right across the way from each other. All three restaurants are pretty casual.
