Bachelor Dinner recommendations
My friend is getting married in July and instead of a bachelor party, we have decided to take a road trip and San Francisco is one of the destinations. We are looking for a great local restaurant that has a great atmosphere, drinks, and fun that can only be found in San Francisco. Any suggestions?

Given the addition of drinks and fun, maybe Foreign Cinema or Capp's Corner, the last of the old-school North Beach Italian places.

Not sure what your scene is but Tipsy Pig, Blowfish, Sushi Groove South, NOPA, Mas Sake or The Republic are all good "bachelor" spots. Consider making a resv at Bourbon & Branch for cocktails or even Rickhouse.

re: MeredithR
Except for Nopa, aren't those places all of genres imported from elsewhere?
No food at Rickhouse. Comstock Saloon might fit.

Caffe Sport for dinner and Gino & Carlo's next door for drinks. Lots of other stuff in the area, too. If you go to Caffe Sport, take a couple of cubes of butter to share; you will be everybody's best friend.
