Bachelor Dinner recommendations

My friend is getting married in July and instead of a bachelor party, we have decided to take a road trip and San Francisco is one of the destinations. We are looking for a great local restaurant that has a great atmosphere, drinks, and fun that can only be found in San Francisco. Any suggestions?

  1. Caffe Sport for dinner and Gino & Carlo's next door for drinks. Lots of other stuff in the area, too. If you go to Caffe Sport, take a couple of cubes of butter to share; you will be everybody's best friend.

    Caffe Sport
574 Green St, San Francisco, CA 94133

    Gino & Carlo
548 Green St, San Francisco, CA

    1. Not sure what your scene is but Tipsy Pig, Blowfish, Sushi Groove South, NOPA, Mas Sake or The Republic are all good "bachelor" spots. Consider making a resv at Bourbon & Branch for cocktails or even Rickhouse.

      Mas Sake
2030 Lombard St., San Francisco, CA 94123

      Sushi Groove South
1516 Folsom St., San Francisco, CA 94107

      Bourbon & Branch
501 Jones St, San Francisco, CA

      Tipsy Pig
2231 Chestnut Street, San Francisco, CA 94123

      Rickhouse Bar
246 Kearny St, San Francisco, CA

Gosh, how could I forget Velvet Cantina? Another great spot for dinner/drinks/mayem and in a great area to move on after.

        Velvet Cantina
        3349 23rd St, San Francisco, CA 94110

Except for Nopa, aren't those places all of genres imported from elsewhere?

No food at Rickhouse. Comstock Saloon might fit.

          Capp's Corner
1600 Powell St, San Francisco, CA 94133

560 Divisadero St, San Francisco, CA 94117

          Foreign Cinema
2534 Mission St., San Francisco, CA 94110

          Comstock Saloon
155 Columbus Ave, San Francisco, CA 94133

        2. "Only in San Francisco" topic:

Given the addition of drinks and fun, maybe Foreign Cinema or Capp's Corner, the last of the old-school North Beach Italian places.

          Capp's Corner
1600 Powell St, San Francisco, CA 94133

          Foreign Cinema
2534 Mission St., San Francisco, CA 94110
