Seeking tips to avoid mess from indoor grill pan

Hello
I use a cast iron grill pan for brouchettes, burgers, grilling vegetables, etc.
As I do when searing, I cover the stovetop with tin foil so I don't have a splatter mess to clean up. When done, I fold the tin foil on itself and reuse til time to toss and replace.
This system works great. As for any smoke, I have an evaporative cooler that blows it out.

For bacon I cut the bacon strips in half, bake them in tin foil covered cookie sheet and freeze them when done, ie, I cook all the bacon at one time and use as needed.

Anyone have tips of what you do when stovetop grilling to avoid greasy messes on your stovetop
and knobs?
