Help! My ex-pat brother from Houston has a crack at one last poboy before heading back. He's been to Gio's, R&O, World Deli, etc.

I'm thinking Parran's on Vets. Anyone been lately, or, any other ideas beyond this?

P.S. He is a STICKLER for the sandwich being warmed after assembled, a dying art, I know. Tell me of any that do this.

Thanks as always, fellow "Hounders!

i know world deli heats after assembled but that is really one of the only places i can think of that do that. i see you already mentioned them. for value and taste get a roast beef at russell's short stop of course!!!!!

Went to Parrans's on Vets last year and was really disappointed with it after all of the hype I had heard about it.

Opted for Parran's. Really big menu, lot to choose from. Two got the J&B special, sort of like a Ferdi without the debris. They enjoyed it. I went healthier, got the balsamic grilled chicken club. Fairly straightforward, got what I expected. I'll go back, especially since it's close by. And nice people to boot.
