Restaurants in South Eastern France

I'm turning 49 on Saturday so I thought we might exit Italy for a few days and poke around south-eastern France. I'm looking for some interesting restaurants. We are not on a pilgrimage to the 3 stars, what we really like is the traditional stuff but it has to be memorable. How about some tips? Thanks in advance.

The Table du Cap is no longer operating in St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Not quite memorable enough to last, I'm afraid. There are no top restaurants in St Jean itself - the best is the Terrace at the Grand Hotel. The "very acceptable" offerings include Le Sloop (lunch menu or dinner) on the the port and lunch at the glass-windowed restaurant at the Hotel Riviera. Lots of interesting restaurants in Nice.

      Mirazur, Menton
      Hostellerie Jérome, La Turbie
      La Réserve, Beaulieu-sur-Mer
La Table du Cap, St Jean Cap Ferrat
      Auberge de la Madone, Peillon

      All quite memorable.

      Bon Anniversaire!

I'm not the OP but thanks for this. I'll be in St Jean Cap Ferrat in early July and was looking for ideas in the area.
