Solo dining at the bar, Midweek, Midtown East
Will be in the city for two nights the end of May midweek, staying at The Waldorf. Looking for two dinners where I am comfortable sitting at the bar and having dinner and a glass of wine. On one of the days, I am meeting friends for lunch at ABC Kitchen, so would like to mix it up a bit. Nothing over the top extravagant is necessary, but a great spot nonetheless. Many thanks.

Even though it's slightly west of Fifth Ave., I highly recommend Ma Peche for solo bar dining with excellent food, and nice wines by the glass and cocktails. The food at Ma Peche is French-Vietnamese. The service is friendly. I dine solo at Ma Peche on a regular basis, and I love it there.
