Jackson''s Kitchen
I wanted to give a shout out to Jackson's Kitchen, on Mass Ave on the Arlington/Lexington line. Whenever I stop there, I always get the cooked-perfectly-to-order steak tips, which come with pilaf, a side of hot veg, and a very small salad. I didn't feel as thought this experience enabled me to comment, so last week I branched out and bought a few things from their case as well: chicken soup made with a flavorful stock, a serving of chicken pot pie topped with good puff pastry, and a serving of turkey, stuffing, and homemade cranberry sauce that served two as a main course. Afterwards I thought it would have made two great turkey terrific sandwiches! Everything is fresh and homemade, only needs a little salt and pepper. The prices are reasonable, and the people are as nice as they can be. I believe they opened last fall and hope they continue to be in business.

I think there are a little over priced. The subs are pretty small especially the Italian, I get it plain and it's just a few thinly sliced cold cuts...usually other places fill an italian with extra cold cuts when I order it plain but not here. I also bought some lasagna from the cold case and wasn't thrilled as it was very runny and looked to be older than it should. I would reccomend neillios in Lexington for a better sandwich and prepared foods or even whole foods.
