Seeking a recommendation for Korean BBQ in Seoul

Hello CHers,

I will be in Seoul for 1 night only and am hoping someone can help me with a BBQ restaurant reasonably accessible from the Grand Hyatt. Price is not a key factor and I would prefer something atmospheric, localish and relaxed.

I don't speak Korean however am comfortable with ordering by pointing.

Thanks in advance.

This may not help you because of the belated reply and the fairly distant proximity from Hyatt, but we and our Korean business associates were highly impressed with a restaurant directly across the street from the entrance to the landmark Westin Chosun Hotel (near City Hall). I can't reproduce the Hangul letters of the name but, in phonetic English, this restaurant is called "Hwa Ro Jeep." (A "hwa ro" is the traditional tabletop charcoal brazier/grill; "jeep" means "house.") This place had the best real-wood barbecue and best cuts of beef and pork we had during our recent Seoul stay of nearly three weeks, as well as excellent panchan dishes, a really pleasant and stylish dining room atmosphere (brick and wood), soft jazz soundtrack, super-efficient exhaust chimney system, friendly service. Hwa Ro Jeep was so good that our group dined there on two consecutive nights.
