Just wondering who supplies seafood for the Toronto Chinese supermarkets or mainstream supermarkets and seafood mongers?

Everyone please weigh in and share your knowledge.

Just an observation. I've seen this company's delivery trucks hovering around a couple of asian grocery stores and have seen some of their packaged products on the shelves:

Depends on what you're after. If it's fresh, try Mike's off N.Queen in Etobicoke--it's the retail front for All Seas, a major distributor.

I believe that All Seas supplies to Loblaws.

Beaver Fishery is one of the largest suppliers, usually does most of the larger asian supermarkets. Another company is Maximum Seafood. Seacore is also another seafood supplier.

Tai Foong is a dry goods company.

"Tai Foong is a dry goods company"
Definitely not. They are a large seafood distributor.

I happened to be at Beaver last summer and saw some tankers arriving with fresh fish from Arkansas. For those of you who don't know, Arkansas is the home of fish farms, something I discovered on the internet after seeing the truck.

Seafood Depot is an interesting store and a place to visit when I'm in the area, two times a year.

Try Seafood Depot the retail store for Sea Core on Aviva Park Dr....west of Weston Rd. north of Steeles...huge variety and very fresh...also lots of frozen seafood/fish and other mainly Italian groceries/cheeses etc.

Lobster Island, Bill's Lobster, Ocean Seafood, and All Seas Seafood are several that come to mind with respect to the Chinese market sector.
