Merghez sAusages

Hello. Any recommendations on where to buy good quality merghez sausages in London? Preferably south London but will go anywhere? I want to BBQ them myself.

  1. almost any decent butcher carries them ... i'd start by trying your local butcher. and if you're unlucky there, o'sheas in knightsbridge always has them.

O'shea's Brussels shop does great mergeuz. - would expect London branch is not bad.

    2. They're not the cheapest, but I was really impressed by the range of sausages (including merguez) in Whole Foods at Kensington High St. AFAIK they're made on site with British meat, I've tried the merguez and lamb with harissa so far, and they've both been really tasty.

fwiw, the sausages aren't made in whole foods - the meat is brought in ready spiced and then just encased in whole foods.

That's lost them the brownie points they'd earned by stocking good beef short ribs ;-0 The quest for decent sausages continues!

      2. Not sure where in south London you are but I would try Moens in Clapham or William Rose in East Dulwich.

        1. Drings in Greenwich had them when I was in there over the weekend. I would have thought they regularly do them, and can vouch for the quality of their other sausages.

I've had Drings' merguez sausages and they are fabulous!

          2. Thanks a lot everybody. These are some great suggestions. Looking forward to trying them.
