All Beef Corn Dog

Where can I find an all beef corn dog?

  1. My favorite Corn dog is Disneyland's and L.A. Weekly’s restaurant critic Jonathan Gold said about the Disneyland's that he never had tasted a better corn dog. But it is not beef, they use a turkey dog.

I am not 100% sure but I believe that Dog Haus in Pasadena is all beef.

Whether it's all-beef or not, the corn dog at the Dog Haus is disappointing. The batter is good, but the dogs (both the "signature" and "snap") are tough and mealy. There was some speculation in another thread that this might be due to the way the dogs are kept or prepared:

I like nearly everything about Dog Haus but the dogs themselves. :(

Vicious Dogs in North Hollywood has all beef corn dogs on the menu.

5231 Lankershim Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91601

      3. Boa in WeHo (and maybe Santa Monica too - although I'm not certain) used to offer an all Kobe beef corn dog. Don't know if they still do it or it faded off the menu.

        Boa Steakhouse
101 Santa Monica Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90401

        Boa Steakhouse
9200 W Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069

        1. Thank you. I'll call around.

          1. An errant post to another corn dog thread ( awakened my curiosity in this thread.

            1. Does Boa still offer a Kobe beef corn dog?

            2. Have the corn dogs at Disney's Little Red Wagon improved?

            3. Has anyone tried the all-beef corn dog at Vicious Dogs?

            4. Any other updates?

I'm disenchanted with most food trucks, but it seems like there's a real opportunity here!

            1. Was at Disneyland last week and the good news is their giantic Corn Dogs tastes just like they used to......wonderful. Jonathan Gold said he never had tasted a better corn dog not even at a county fair. In addition to the Main Street cart they are also available at Corn Dog Castle in California Adventure.

when did these corn dogs go into effect? i went to disneyland a year ago and had a corn dog; it was merely passable.

This was my first time back to the park in a few years. I know they had made some changes in the recipe (also changing to a smaller hot dog) a while back but with so many complaints they seem to have returned back to their original larger corn dog and it was darn good.
