Gilmore's NOT going BYOB

Last Saturday, we had our second great meal in a month at Gilmore's, accompanied by another couple. They seem to have the server problems which we had experienced last winter under control. We were delighted with the completely revamped menu. It's not reflected yet on their website. They had just introduced it a few days before, and I hope they plan to keep it. Lots of new, delicious dishes. Some small plates, some large plates. I asked Susan Gilmore if they were still planning on getting a liquor license and she said "no". Seems a bar and stocking area would take up too much space. She did say, however, that had they gone that route they would have continued the byob. I'm very glad to hear they decided not to. Shouldnt that say.. Gilmore's staying BYOB?

Interesting that they are changing the menu. I assume it is still classicla french style with the price point is the same? I was glad when they got rid of the two seatings a night. One of the best meals I had there was a wonderful fois gras tasting they did several years ago that really showed off the creativity of their kitchen. Hope they keep doing their special events.

It's been a little bit since I've been there so I'm curious to check out the new menu.

      I miss Richard!

Thanks for the excellent review. I didn't realize Gilmore's was thinking of changing from a BYOB. I didn't realize the menu had changed so much.
