Bacari Grill, Washington Township, is a good choice.

Other ideas in the Hackensack area -

Poitin Still - a classic Irish pub with a nice party room menu
Regina's - a classy high end steakhouse in Teaneck

A little further away - The Ramsey Golf and Country Club has The Abbey or the Atrium of the Lakeside Grill

Also a bit further The Brick House in Wyckoff or Savini in Allendale.

I 2nd Sanzari's..they have a great private room upstairs complete with your own bar and the room probably holds at least 100.

Also Dolce Novita in Moonachie..private room good food and great service!

Sanzari $ Dolce Novita are good choices. Also take a look at Biago's in Paramus. They have a private room and have done a nice job at parties I have attended.

maryanne - hadn't really thought about price, i guess around $45 per person would be a start.
menton - ivy inn looks very nice, but per their website, they only accommodate parties of 40 or more and were probably not going to get to 40 people. more like 30.
curlz - bistro 55 would be nice, do they have a private room?

any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

I haven't been but I know others who have booked Sanzari New Bridge for parties and were happy.
Some Riverside square mall restaurants may have private rooms - Mangianos and Mortons.

Bistro 55 doesn't have a private room; my friends who had a huge family gathering there (40-50 people) had one side of the place to themselves.

This is by far the nicest venue for a family event in the Hackensack area...

How much did you want to spend per person?
