Ocampo and La Hacienda multiple locations?

Planning a taco (etc) festa. Los Ocampo and La Hacienda both have a few locations on East Lake.

Plan on going to both, but which of their respective stores do you prefer, food-wise, and otherwise. Gracias

If you're willing to travel, I think the brand new Los Ocampo on the east side of St. Paul is the best-- and they have table service and beer!

A note: the stand-alone location on Lake also has beer.

I was under the impression from the last thread bout it, that the St Paul location had a full liquor license...is that the case?

Yes. 'Tis true. You can get a margarita there. I just happen to generally prefer beer!

I've only been once to the St. Paul location, but my impression was the menu was more extensive than the stand alone location on Lake or the one in Midtown Global. I ordered way too much food. A single order of posole is, imo, a large meal for two.

The stand-alone Los Ocampo location across the street from the Midtown Global Market is better than the location in the market. I have had dry, old, and tasteless rice at the MGM location, but everything was tasty at the other one. The stand-alone Los Ocampo also has more menu choices.
