Vegan/non-dairy black and white cookies?
I want to get some black and white cookies for a party. The hostess is breast-feeding and her son can't consume any dairy. Does anyone know of a bakery in Manhattan that makes them? I already checked the Babycakes website and did not see them listed. They don't have to be fully vegan since my friend does eat eggs. Only the dairy is a problem.
I suppose I could bake them myself, but I am making other things and don't feel like adding to my workload.
Thanks!

Lilly's Bakery Shop has yummy black and white cookies, the original jumbo size as well as cute mini black and whites... they are dairy-free though not vegan. Check out their website for some mouth-watering photos.... www.lillysbakeryshop.com.
I recently ordered a few dozen black and white cookies for a party directly from them and picked it up from their Brooklyn location.
Good Luck!

Know of any Kosher bakeries in New York that have black-and-white cookies? I'll bet you can find one without too much trouble. ;-) When you do, ask if it's a "Pareve" bakery. If so, ALL its offerings will be dairy free. If not, they'll be able to point you in the right direction.

I should have been more clear - directly from their "wholesale" Bakery locationg in Brooklyn! Then again, of course you can try a regular Kosher "pareve" bakery (though they may not have as many as you need in stock!)
Still highly recommend Lilly's!

I ended up finding parve cookies at Zabars, but they weren't very good :(
