I am a huge fan of Phil & Sebastian coffee, try to get there every time I am in Calgary. I will be in town Sunday, Monday. However won't have the chance to get to Marda Loop. I will be leaving town in the AM on Monday, from the south east side heading south. Is there anything that would compare in the south? I am willing to veer a bit but considering that I plan to leave around 8, I don't want to fight traffic too much.

I'll have to 2nd this suggestion for Cafe Crema. They rock a Slayer espresso machine and also use Fratello beans. They open @ 6 am.

Otherwise, the Chinook location of P&S is still your best bet for exceptional coffee. Take a different route than Macleod and traffic will be less of an issue.

3rd Cafe Crema! Easy in and easy out from 22X as well.

P&S is open in Chinook, so depending upon where in the SE you are (it's all perspective), it might be manageable. P&S opens at 7 am! Otherwise (and assuming you're heading far-south), I'd suggest Good Earth in Lethbridge just off Mayor Magrath.

not a fan of Good Earth, won't be heading that far anyway (crowsnest pass). I am down in Bonavista, so Chinook is too far :(
