Anybody knows where to buy (real) rum and raisin dark chocolate?

I love Whittakers' Dark Rum and Raisin chocolate. Unfortunately, it is a New Zealand brand I am having no luck finding in Montreal (or online).

Has anybody seen this brand around?

Failing that, does anybody know of good rum & raisin dark chocolate sold locally? I am talking real Rum though, not 'flavour'. And raisins, juicy soaked raisins?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Alex.

hmm interesting question. Cadbury makes a version.

Have you looked at the selection at The Baie? The downtown location, on the 7th floor, has a large selection of gourmet chocolates with old school flavors.

I am well familiar with Australian version of Cadbury' Rum and Raisin. It will do in a pinch, but it is a pale comparison (IMHO) to Whittakers'.

Thanks for the pointer though, I will check it out.

Tourtiere Australien imports some products from Australia and New Zealand. I think I have seen some Whittaker's there, but probably not the specific rum and raisin. However, Don, the owner, is very personable, and maybe if you had a chat to him he could order some specially for you in the next import batch?
