Meme
I know Meme has been discussed on this board previously, but I'd like to hear about your recent experiences and recommended dishes. From searching the board and other sites, I have found that the sizzling mussels, roasted chicken, and whole Branzino are popular. What else is good?

So I went and it was pretty good. Service was good, prices and portions are very reasonable. Wine list is good and affordable too. I liked the small and focused menu. Everything I tried was good, all plates got eaten, but nothing was really great. Only one dessert on the menu, a chocolate tort or souffle? Can't remember exactly, but apparently they took the creme brulee off because something was wrong with it. I liked the option of a cheese plate for dessert, the cheeses were interesting selections and, again, well priced.
I would love having a place like this in my neighborhood, and if I'm in the area and can't decide where to go, I may end up back here, but I don't think it's much of a destination restaurant.
BTW didn't like the sizzling mussels very much, that was a let down. Either the mussels themselves were not very good, or the life was cooked out of them.

Dessert. I haven't been there in a long time but I went a few times a little while after they opened and I thought if Meme didn't work out, David Katz would do very well as a pastry chef. Dessert was my favorite part.
