BOTH locations (the brand new as of today Center City one) and the one on the Northeast are Kosher thanks to KOA! My husband will be thrilled!

  1. Thanks for the heads up! Looking forward to trying it.

    1. Trust me they're not that good...

I respectfully disagree; I would almost consider relocating to the Philly area for this (OK, not really, but . . .), but unfortunately my Rav doesn't hold by that hechsher, so even when I'm in the area, it does me no good.

Well then come to California for a visit. They are kosher all over SoCal.

What cured me of Krispy Kremes was once when I brought several dozen to a party and I had to sit in the store smelling them cooking in oil while the salesperson packed them up. They gave each of the kids in my car a freebee while we waited. I have not been able to eat Krispy Kremes since.

They have become mandatory at every school event since they became kosher.

Bring me a couple of decent bagels (you are from Queens NY?) and I will give you a dozen KKs!!

I ONLY like the hot glazed ones. Otherwise I normally skip them myself. OTOH my husband loves them.

        3. Thanks for the news! I love Krispy Kreme - they used to have a hechsher a few years ago and they were my fave. Much better than the kosher dunkin donuts, imho.

          1. They even make wedding cakes out of doughnuts. Look on their web site...

Yeah, but how many chalavi weddings have you ever been to?

I have never actually heard of anyone kosher or non-kosher who bought one of those cakes. Might be fun for an anniversary party.
