Any Lunch Spot Recommendation near the Oakland Airport?

Does anyone have any great recommendations for a lunch near the Oakland Airport? I will be flying in for a meeting and flying out. I will have access to a car. Anything unique and interesting in the area would be appreciated. thanks

Since you have a car, the question is how near you want to be. Unlike San Francisco, Oakland airport is not that far from downtown Oakland, although the immediate neighborhood is typical of airports (hotels, rental cars, chains, warehouses) -- but there are a lot of choices within a 15-minute drive. Are you planning on having the meeting in the restaurant? If not, where is your meeting?

not being familiar with oakland and not knowing traffic, i'm not sure how far i'd like to go. i definitely don't have the time to get into sf but anywhere within 15 minutes would be great. i'd like to stop by blue bottle but otherwise, i'm not sure what else would be good in the area. i'm completely open to the type of food. it would be great to get something that is unique.

Near Blue Bottle are Chop Bar, Encuentro and Boca Nova. Encuentro might be considered unique (gourmet vegetarian tapas and wine bar), but what people consider unique depends a lot on where they're from and what they're used to. That area is well within your 15 minute window.
