Rating of 3 is only because of the food
After dining at Chambar several times, I took my visiting sister there this evening. I wanted her to experience what I consider the best restaurant in Vancouver. Oh dear. The food was as usual excellent. However - the service was not good. In fact, it was abysmal. Our server was extremely rushed, and did not make us feel welcome or as if he had any interest at all in making our dining experience a good one. He paid a great deal of attention to tables near us, those occupied by business customers, obviously the high tippers. However, we were given barely passable attention.
This is not what I expect of a restaurant the calibre of Chambar.
