best local salsa in a restaurant or take out context

looking for leads about home made/ made on site salsa. if it comes in a jar or is off a supermarket shelf or cooler, forget it.

    There is only ONE thing redeemable about Pepito's and its their salsa.

      Oh, I don't know about that. Bean Lupitas rock my tastebuds. Lupitas must be paired with Pepito's salsa or it just ain't the same.

      Hampden Park Coop used to have a great black bean salsa. I have not been there for a long time so I don't know if they still make it. www.hampdenparkcoop.com

        I'm in love with Seward Coop's Salsa Diablo. It is in their cooler, but I'm fairly sure they make it on site.

              Agreed El Burrito Mercado. EVERYTHING at their little deli counter rocks. As well as their prepared for takeout, and their pre-made meats, beans and rice by the pound. I also buy fajita mix from them. Fast and cheap. I also really like Pepitos. Very heavy on the garlic. Their take out on 46th has a salsa bar. As far as Pico del Gallo - haven't found a decent one that beats my homemade. A shame too, I HATE making it. Chop, chop.

                  Boca Chica and their Taco House have excellent house made salsa. Pineda also has some good salsa.
