Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in New Orleans

PHO what it's worth ( i could not resist even though it is not pronounced "fo")

Oh yes!!!!!!

For years I would be loyal to Pho Tau Bay. Finally a few years back on a Thursday (day they are closed) I ventured to Pho Bang. Eventually I made it over to 9 Roses. Still loyal to Pho Tau Bay but I am currently on a Pho Nola in Metairie kick. Had Doson's noodle house once and it was ok. Have had Jazmine Cafe in Riverbend and it was so-so. I am now on a mission to sample every Pho in town. Finally I have found one that I feel is hands down better than all of them! Kim Anh all the way out in Harahan. The broth is succulent and rich. Every drop is to be savored. The rolls are great too but they do not have a char-grilled pork one. They have that regular shrimp and sliced cooked pork one but I prefer the char-grilled one you can find at Nine Roses or Pho Nola.

For Banh Mi I love Pho Nola's chargilled pork! Pho Nola has great Char-grilled pork rolls as well but I think Nine Roses char-grilled pork in number one!

For straight up Pho I would rank as such.

1. Kim Anh
2. Pho Tau Bay
3. Pho Nola
4. Pho Bang

others were not special enough to make me consider ranking. Someone please tell me what great Pho places I am missing!!!!

Any wonderful Pho experiences please post!
OK, I want a bowl like now!!!
