Another Thai Town Question

So, I'm single for the week, which means I finally get to have some Thai food again! I plan to swing through Thai Town tonight to get some takeout, and I'm trying to decide where I should go. My "go to" spot is Yai, but I've never been to Red Corner Asia. Which should I pick, or is there another contender I should consider?

Keep in mind, I'm getting take-out.

  1. Pa Ord for pad thai, tom yum noodles, pad kee mao - if you like Yai's noodles, you will think you died & went to Thailand. Yai's pan fried noodles taste like burnt crap from weeks' worth of rancid fried bits.

Wat Dong Moon Lek (Silverlake) for crispy pork belly w/ rice. If they have the singapore noodle salad on the menu, get that.

In the center w/ Red Corner, the best of the bunch is definitely Ruen Pair. The others are meh.

    1. Kind of depends what you like in Thai food since you are single - and getting takeout -- I assume you won't be getting lots of stuff. if you tell us your fav. dishes we van stter you better. Totally agree with soniabegonia's assessment as well. Check out Rodded, especially if duck noodles turn you on.
