Can I cheekily broaden this question to ask if anyone also knows a good source of kaya in London? Though I suppose if they have pandan leaves in Chinatown I can make it myself!

re: deansa
@ deansa: Don't know about London but do let me know if you'd like me to bring some over for you - am coming by London end of this month.
BTW, the BEST kaya I'd ever tasted was the one made at Princess Terrace, Copthorne King's Hotel in Singapore. And the chef responsible for making it was Mrs Mary Yeoh, now at Sedap in Old Street.
P.S. - Hey, Limster did mention that they make it for sale at Sedap in this older thread:http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/603741
Maybe you can call & check if they still do it.

re: klyeoh
Thanks klyeoh, very kind. I spoke to the people at Sedap, and they said they can sell me some – but they only make it when they rotate around their dessert special to one that includes kaya. That should be in a week or two, so I appear set!

Loon Fung on Gerrard St should have pandan essence, I'd even seen fresh pandan leaves sold there.
