I work in back bay and want to plan a cocktail-and-hors d'oevres event for about 40-50 people, but I have no idea which of our frequent haunts might have interesting event space! Anyone been to a cool function in this neighbrohood?

Sonsie has a good space downstairs. Very hip spot.

Towne has a great private dining space on the second floor - saw it on a tour a few weeks ago, and it is in the back of my mind as the space I will look to for our annual next Holiday season. Check it out!

I did a wedding dinner at the Capital Grille on Newbury - they have a semi-private room that seats about 15 - 20 and a larger fully private one that seats 25 - 30 and might hold 50 for a stand-up event. They took very good care of us, but it is fairly pricy.
