I thought it might be nice to have one of the dinners while we are down there for graduation weekend to have a dinner at a place on the harbor with a view? Don't know when we will ever get back to Baltimore again.

Would prefer some place that is NOT all seafood as grandma can't eat seafood (allergic) , but seafood on menu is fine.

  1. The Watertable restaurant has a great view of the Inner Harbor especially at night the food is excellent as well.

    1. McCormick and Schmicks is a decent (not great) place. It's mainly seafood, but Grandma can get some pretty good steak there too. The problem with trying to find a place with a Harbor view (thats also not seafood restaurant) is that almost all the restaurants with a harbor view are tourist traps and seafood restaurants (that's "Baltimore food" after all).
If you want something a little less formal you could try Little Havana. They've got Cuban inspired food (mainly sandwiches) and a fantastic view of the harbor too. The only drawback to the place is that it can quickly become more bar and less restaurant on the weekends.

Little Havana's food is pure garbage.

Little Havana does nada for me.

        2. Tabrizi's is a place that I would highly recommend. The food is varied, leaning towards Mediterranean. You can view the menu via their Website. The view is beautiful, as is the restaurant. FoiGras

What do they have a view of - they look like they are blocks in from the Harbor? I am confused

The map on their page was wrong. I went in and fixed it. I've never been to Tabrizi's and have heard mixed reviews of it, but they do have the harbor view.

My one meal at Rusty Scupper was years ago and not memorable for food at all, but it's a gorgeous view. I ate there at night and watched the rain fall on the water, and it was really great.

I do a lot of running around the harbor waterfront, and get a good idea of the views. Tabrizi's is farther out and doesn't have as good a view as Rusty Scupper. I suspect the food is better, though.

The food is definitely better, Hal, but the view isn't as spectacular as the Rusty Scupper. I guess it depends on what is most important for the OP.

Also, Tabrizi's has outdoor seating which is very nice this time of year. FoiGras

                  AWESOME THANKS!

            2. The Rusty Scupper probably has the best harbor view, but unless it's changed a lot since I last ate there the food is unremarkable. Great view, though.

Definitely agree. But, I must say--about a year or so ago my hubby and I actually had a nice dinner at the Scupper. He ordered the roasted chicken (if I can recall)--it was moist and delicious. Now, don't hold me to it. I just know that Hubby didn't order anything in the seafood area. The salads were quite good also. It's worth a try. I had some succulent oysters and a salmon entree that was very good. FoiGras

              2. There really isn't any good food around the harbor. If you can live without the harbor view you'll be able to find a much better dinner... sorry to say but its true...

Not a View!! not a View! And a lot of stairs to climb. FoiGras

I was building on the previous post suggesting to forgo the view for better food. Also, there are only a few steps into the restaurant. You don't need to sit on the balcony, the ground floor is lively.

The Watertable Restaurant in the Renaissance Hotel has a killer view of the Harbor especially at night. The food is good which I was surprised about and service is excellent
