One Night Only - Help Me Choose

We're going on a trip at the end of August and will have one night free in LA. We love tasting menus and food that we'll be talking about for months. I think I've narrowed it down to Providence, Melisse Restaurant, and Hatfield's. Which of those would you pick with only one night? Or is there somewhere else I've completely missed? We're from the DC area, so I already nixed Saam at The Bazaar by Jos since we're very familiar with Jose Andres already. Looking for something so good we'd be hard pressed to go anywhere else on a return trip in the future. Appreciate the help!

  1. You would have memorable meals at all three. I would favor Providence of Melisse. And for me, Providence would get top billing. It's just a lovely experience all around. Their specialty is seafood, so that could be the deciding factor.

    1. Recent dinners at Patina have been, service and beautiful dining room. And you'd have the plus of seeing the incredible Frank Gehry architecture of the Walt Disney Concert Hall. That said, you certainly can't go wrong at either Melisse or Providence.
