Alternatives to Jitlada?

The last few times I've been to Jitlada have been a real disappointment. The quality has plummeted and the prices are quite high for the skimpy portion sizes; it seemed like the rave reviews have really gone to their heads. Almost no Thai customers the last couple trips, only yuppie/hipster white people; kind of a red flag.

But I'm obsessed with their crispy morning glory salad with shrimp. Does anyone know of another place that makes it?

You may want to try Red Corner Asia in the Thaitown plaza on Hollywood. I've had it twice and would definitely return. RCA is inexpensive, clean, generous with portions and all around delicious. Also, for any vegetarians, their soy chicken (mock meat) is amazing. It tastes exactly like the tube brand sold at the grocery next door. I'm assuming your last name is Wynn? Funny....I'm a Winn!

Funny, one of the items I find I cannot understand why people like it is that very morning glory salad, with or without shrimp.
To me, I go the back pages of the menu, and basically forget everything else.
Be surprised how much more the kitchen may be inspired preparing those dishes.

i had an awesome experience at jitlada twice over the past two months- haven't noticed quality deteriorating, though i've started going over lunch - i find the service much better. my second favorite is daisy mint in pasadena.

So, nobody knows of any other restaurants that do the Crispy Morning Glory Salad?
I probably should have been more specific in the header; I have no shortage of favorite Thai joints, but don't know any others that make that dish ;)

Ruen Pair does fried morning glory stems. Maybe they could conjure up a salad for you.
