Fried Shrimp

  • 8

Can anyone recommend a restaurant that has good fried shrimp? One of my mom's favorite dishes is the fried shrimp at Claim Jumper and I haven't been able to find anything similar to it in LA. Any place near downtown, Beverly Hills or Hollywood would work fine. Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion. Is Grand Lux Cafe like a better version of the Cheese Cake Factory?

        Same company, same cheesecake.

    2. not the style that you are asking for, so this post is probably meant for readers other than the OP, but Mariscos Chente in Inglewood serves a mean breaded fried shrimp.

      1. I agree with the Fried Shrimp at Grand Lux. Second place for me is Tusquella's at the Farmer's Market, with plenty of their cole slaw!

        1. We love the breaded shrimp at Fisherman's Outlet on Central. The shrimp are breaded fresh, not frozen.

Also, the tempura shrimp at R23 in the Artist District are still a favorite of mine...

          1. Check out the Original Shrimp Place downtown. "Al Bondigas" brought this place to the attention of the LA board: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/667177
