Early roadtrip to Wineries/Tanger - where to stop for coffee/bagels?

Hey there,
We're headed out to the wineries and to Tanger early on Saturday. We'll be coming from JFK - any suggestions of where to pick up some good coffee and bagels along the way?

In Patchogue on Route 112, is Bagel Patch. Its closer to Sunrise Hwy but its easy to get to the LIE from there.

Off the LIE in the Plainview Syosset area is bagel Boss. Good bagels and cream cheese , decent coffee. Just head south of the expressway it is on your raight hand side. Convenient, there is a Starbucks across the street as well as a Dunkin Donuts and a bakery that has coffee.

Do you have a general route in mind?
I don't know a place that has both great coffee and bagels, but it's usually the coffee that suffers more (considering that most coffee places with bagels generally also get them from bagel stores the same day).

One idea along that line is Massapequa Perk:

much better coffee than any bagel shop. To get there, you'd go from the Southern State to Rt 135 (the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway) south to Sunrise/Rt 27, then east about 2 miles to Park Blvd, and it's right off that, north of the tracks along Sunrise. From there, go east again on Sunrise to 110 North back to the Southern State.

Not great coffee but the best bagels are at Utopia Bagels on Utopia Parkway in Queens. It is definitely worth a stop!

For good coffee there's Starbucks just off the LIE on 188th St...

Or, if you head East from JFK on the Belt, Magic Bagels on Merrick Road, Valley Stream is in that direction, and heads you toward Eastern LI. Starbucks is on Sunrise Hwy in Lynbrook, the next town.
