What's Up With Mike Anderson's?
Someone asked me about Mike Anderson's. I didn't know anything about it and when I googled it I was confused. It looks like there is one in Baton Rouge, one in Gonzales and possibly two in New Orleans -- one on the Riverwalk in a food court and another on Bourbon. What is the deal? And is it any good?

Mike Anderson was an LSU football star in the 70's who started a seafood restaurant in Baton Rouge. It's popular with LSU sports fans. I've always found the food to be mediocre at best.
The location in the Holiday Inn in Gonzales is a franchise. The two New Orleans locations have been closed since Katrina and more than likely will not reopen.

I think the Quarter location was in the spot that is now Redfish Grill.

No, it's the boarded up space right next to Galatoire's on the downriver side.

Okay. I knew it was somewhere in that vacinity. Considering we ate there once in 1997, my memory is a little lacking.

Didn't they used to have a location on Vets years ago? Down toward the Orleans Parish line.

We ate at the one in Gonzales a couple of times for lunch about a year ago and it was great.
