I would describe Foreign Cinema's atmosphere as "fun unique"; however, it is not so in the same way as your example restaurant.

How about Farallon? I've not been, but always wanted to go mainly for the ambiance.

I wouldn't call the restaurant "fun" per se, but definitely creative!
