Sotto Sopra again
Hubby and I enjoyed another fantastic dinner at Sotto Sopra. The panzanella salad was exquisite. The veal chop was meaty and contained some fat to enhance (which gives it the full flavor--despite those that poo poo a meaty, well fatted veal chop--same goes with a good New York strip steak. A bit of fat flavors and makes the meat so delectable).
The accompanying vegetables are always a luxurious treat, as it is rare for any restaurant to offer such wonderful vegetables unless the are offer a la carte.
I ordered an appetizer for my entree portion. Then Riccardo brought an amuse bouche (spelling) for my taste opinion for future offers to diners. It was an exquisite chicken liver mouuse on crostini with diced, pickled veggies. out of this WORLD. I was stuffed to the gills, but was still able to savor this delectable treat.
Our service was, as always, above par. The food selections are quite inspired and they change somewhat frequently.
AT 5 p.m.-5:30 on a Saturday evening, this establishment was quite full of patrons. When we departed about 6:30 or so, it was becoming packed. Just goes to show that it is a favorite amongst the locals and deservedly so.
And, it goes to prove, an independent restaurant in Baltimore is celebrating 15 years in business. BRAVO!!!! FoiGras
