Searching for quality Inidan food in New Brunswick area
Hello fellow Central NJ Hounds.
I am looking for options in the East/New Brunswick area for good Indian food. I used to love Piquant Bread Bar in New Brunswick before it had closed. Also, the one on route 18 across from the diner is pretty good but has let me down many times.
I can imagine there are several good ones in the Edison area but wanted to see what the tried and true favorites are for other Indian food fans?
Thanks.

Have you tried Hoysala in Somerset?

I too thought of Hoysala. It's about 10-15 minutes from New Brunswick but well worth the short trip. Hoysala has wonderful southern Indian food and offers a terrific lunch buffet. Close by is Pooja on Easton Avenue. I haven't been there in years but it was good back then!

Hoysala sounds interesting. I am a bit turned off by Indian buffets because I don't like the consistency of it when it is not super fresh. I know I am in the minority there.
For a good sit-down with the wife, would Hoysala or Pooja be a better choice?
I am not surprised Bombay Gardens shut down, not at all.
Thanks everyone for suggestions.
