Kombu/Bonito brand recommendations

Looking to make dashi for the first time and wondering if I need to be on the lookout for any specific brands (or any ones to avoid). I live near a host of Vietnamese markets with a wide range of each.

Pretty much any brand will do the trick. JFC is pretty reliable. If you're near a WFM, you can get Eden, but it will cost more.
