Can I just throw in a plug for Hinano's burgers?

Hinano is a divey bar at the end of Washington in Marina Del Rey, and dammit, they make one fine cheesburger. I highly recommend the joint.

Have been here, and don't think I've ever had the hamburger. However, I have had the turkey burger. Not my idea of a good turkey burger. The meat tastes smoked.

I've heard of Hinano Beer, but never Hinano burgers. Do they serve Hinano Beer? Have a Tahitian motif?

At least 30 years. When I asked what it was that makes their burgers so great, I was told that the secret is the grill itself, which has been seasoned now for over 30 years. I wonder if Jim Morrison ate burgers off this thing?!

Tip: DON'T get the double cheesburger (throws the balance off), DO ask for grilled onions and both swiss and cheddar. Chili dog and tuna melt are also both fantastic.

Hey, I love these too! That place is such a dive, but great to stop in for one of the cheeseburgers. Randomly, it's featured in the film The Criminal that came out a couple of years ago.

Yeah, I had the burgers once. Pretty good. That was a few years ago.
