Out of ideas for my birthday dinner...

Looking for a restaurant anywhere from Beverlywood to Silverlake--fun and festive, but that won't break the bank. Dinner for 8....Oh, and we need a reservation for Saturday night. Thinking Luna Park, but haven't ever tried it. Any other thoughts out there?

Luna Park kind of hit or miss. Curtained booths cool. Food can be pretty good but unreliable. I too am crazy about Babrix and I love the patio at Cliff's Edge although the food isn't necessarily as lovely the ambiance. I have also been consistantly impressed with the quality of food and service at Little Dom's although sometimes the noise level can be a bit of an issue.

Luna Park is ok....but just ok. I think Cliff's Edge might work. Amazing outdoor patio. Food is good, not great. Probably a step up from Luna Park. But the atmosphere is great. But I'd make a reservation quickly....

Barbrix in Silverlake - delicious small plates, interesting and reasonably priced wines, fun atmosphere and lovely owners.

Are you thinking of this coming Saturday night, or several weeks from now? I ask as most places have availability in the latter timeframe, yet nearly all good ones are probably booked for this coming one, and especially for a table for 8.
AOC comes to mind immediately, as you can drink and eat as much or as little as desired as the menu is largely small plate-focused.
