Passing through soon mid-week and would love a great breakfast spot for family and me (3 kids, 8 and under).
Thanks for the suggestions.

Lucky's Coffee Shop on Concord Pike would likely be the best choice.

I have to second that. It's my favorite local place for breakfast and they are very family friendly.

Do you or your kids like Hash Browns? Unfortunately Lucky's doesn't have them - they offer up these pre-packaged frozen potato type cubes, deep fried.

Hollywood Grill, also on 202 has, great Hash Browns. I like mine scorched.

I figure the kids would like Lucky's. Haven't been to Hollywood Grill in a long while but heard the food, service and clientele hadn't changed since the old HoJo days. I live across the street and haven't seen any compelling reason to go back.

Good Blueberry Pancakes at the Hollywood Grill and the bacon is not bad either. Lucky's does have the better burger though.

So, I thought it really wasn't fair to dismiss a place without having been back in a long while so had breakfast at the Hollywood over the weekend. Hostess on the ball, waitress right there and with immediate refills on the coffee. My wife's eggs over easy she pronounced perfectly done. Mine scrabbled were not rubbery. Link sausage with sage, decent rye bread. Good home fries as advised above. All in all, a very good breakfast. Nothing fancy mind you but solid with good service. I stand corrected.

                What about Marsh Road Diner?

I should visit - I've heard good things about the place but haven't been.
