Sushi Nanase in White Plains

Hi, has anybody been to Sushi Nanase in White Plains recently. I've been there several times but with the events in Japan, I was wondering if they are still using fish flown in from Japan.

I was there last night. I was too caught up in conversation with my friend to ask about where the fish was from, but all the food, sushi, sashimi, fried skate wing, yellowtail jaw, miso soup with clams (unbelievable), was amazing. It was in the best 3-4 sushi/sashimi meals I have had, including the in states and Japan.

I really need to go back. They are the best!

Good question. I haven't been back in over a year when I was studying for the bar exam, so I'd be very interested. Despite the high prices, I really enjoyed all the food, especially since it didn't warrant a trip into Manhatten.

I called and they said they now get the fish from a different part of Japan. I wonder if that is okay...

That to me means they are still sourcing from Japan and relying on the supplier. Sounds fishy. ;)
