Le Meurice or Pierre Gagnaire - Paris Weekend
Hi. I am going to paris in May and am going to do a bistro one night and a 3 star the other. Right now we are torn between Le Meurice and Pierre Gagnaire. From what I have read, Le Meurice is supposedly beautiful, romantic and great food but more traditional, old school French 3 star vs. Pierreg Gagnaire which is more unique, creative but not as romantic and a ton of food.
If you only had 1 you could do, which one would it be?

l did not find Gagnaire to be a 'ton of food'. Enough food certainly, but not a ton. In fact when leaving dinner l commented to my dining partner, ' nice light meal' and then we took a walk.
It seemed a lot more food, and that is not a criticism, for the bargain lunch the following week at Le Cinq. Sorry, have not been to Le Meurice. -
