Taco Express, Greenville NC

I made another visit here last night and am much more positive about the place than I was before.

The pastor at El Azador has been slipping recently(everything else is great, especially the rotating lunch specials) and while El Rancho has a pretty good pastor, I think Taco Express has the best pastor in Greenville right now.

We ordered a bunch with just onions and cilantro- "all the way" at Taco Express also means pico de gallo and guacamole. I had my tacos this way on my first visit and wasn't thrilled with them. I suppose this is a California thing- Taco Express bills itself as SoCal Mexican. At any rate, everyone wanted more of the pastor last night after eating one or two initially. The hottest(green) salsa is a good complement here- I was it was a bit spicier and more complex, but it's good enough. And at any rate, I'm not thrilled with the salsas at any of the other Mexican places in Greenville.

I also had a fish taco last night and it was as good as the first time.

Very family friendly pricing on Tuesdays, when most of their (quite large) tacos are $1 each and you can make a meal off two or three of them. Fish and I believe shrimp are excluded from the special. It's understandable in the case of the fish, as the fish tacos are at least double the size of the others.

Sorry I missed this post, Naco -- is that the place in cursed formerly Middle Eastern spot on Moye?
