Sobey's Front St deal

Dealicious.ca has a deal on for Sobey's, Fronts St location only, $20 for $40. I agree that Sobey's is generally overpriced, but if you're in the neighbourhood half price is a great deal!

  1. Thanks for the post.

    1. Thanks, I bought a voucher just before they sold out. I think I was #980 something lol.

Note to The Butchers, Webpiggy and Buytopia - they only sold 1000 vouchers.

I have been having good luck with Dealicious and have purchased quite a few vouchers from them the past few months.

The best one has been Select Bakery - I had never purchased their mini-pastries and mini-baklavas before but there are some fantastic varieties there. Even their mini-brownie was amazing. Nothing beats the cinnamon ring they make though, it's a doughnut/baklava hybrid that I'm addicted to.

Another voucher from Dealicious was for Cozy Corner Cafe on Woodbine and Danforth.

First time to this place using a voucher and it was well worth it. Service was extremely warm and kind, and the fresh baked items were very good. (the dobos torte and other pastries were ho-hum, so stick to the fresh baked breads, cookies, rolls etc)

The other vouchers I bought were for Arriba Restaurant at Skydome - will use that for a Sunday brunch someday and catch a Jays game at the same time - and one for Maselli's Supermarket. Gave me a perfect excuse to stop by Danforth Pizza House and grab some groceries at the same time.

This was truly a fantastic deal that I took advantage of. Thanks for posting, OP!

Happy that Sobeys capped the deal at 1000. Smart.

      2. We snagged one of these the other day and used it today without incident (though apparently we were supposed to clear it at the Service Desk first before paying at the regular cash, but the cashier just took care of that process.) I'm generally a bit suspicious of these types of deals but this was too good to pass up since we shop there anyway. Thanks for the heads up.

Glad to hear it went smoothly. I haven't used mine yet, and I always wonder if I'll get treated like a second class customer. My guess is they are worried about the No Frills across the street taking some of their business!

There is no doubt that the No Frills has taken a lot of their business. This store was never busy and now it's like a ghost town in there. I now only go to St Lawrence Market for fruits, veggies and meats and No Frills for staples.....no need for Sobeys anymore.

For sure, Sobey's must be worried, I notice they added free parking at the Acura lot nearby as well. Although I have to say that while some things are much cheaper at No Frills, not everything is, and I find the staff and general experience to be much more pleasant at Sobey's so I still find myself there quite regularly. Noticed today their produce was looking pretty grim, though, lucky the SLM is so close.
