Need Dining Recommendations for Palermo & Siracusa

I am having some challenges finding a wonderful trattoria type dining in Palermo & Siracusa. Any recommendations from the board would very much be appreciated. I really wanted to try Zia Pina but I only have an evening in Palermo and this restaurant's only open for lunch. Thanks so much.

Hi Jen, Thanks for taking time to reply. I do appreciate your efforts. I did see the list of restaurants but I was actually hoping to have some personal recommendations from the forum. Ciao.

I will be sure to post my trip report when I return. I know it's helpful for others. Thanks Jen.

I posted some comments after we returned from Sicily and Rome earlier this month at the end of a thread I had started. We mainly ate at mid- to upscale places but had a tasty dinner in Siracusa at a very casual, inexpensive place called La Gazza Ladra. I would recommend it--it's nothing fancy, though! Simple food, very simple atmosphere.

We loved Sicily. I hope you enjoy your trip and everything you eat while there.
