Coquilles Saint-Jacques in Edmonton?

Does anyone know where I can eat this fine French dish...........in Edmonton (save making it in my own kitchen?)

Best,
LYnda

A few months ago we had a Sunday brunch at the Atrium Room in the Radisson Hotel. Strangely enough they had a station where they made Coquilles St Jacques to order. I didn't have any so can't comment on the quality... smelled good but the scallops looked frozen not fresh.

Try Cafe Select downtown - a coworker has them every time we go!

Could you be more specific about what the dish entails? Coquilles Saint-Jacques just means scallops.

Really rafjel? I was not aware of that.

When I hear "Coquilles Saint-Jacques" I immediately think of the dish described within the article that the OP provided complete with the scalloped shell or ceramic alternative baking/serving dish.

Lynda, I do not know of a spot which serves it at present. Do seem to recollect them having been served at La Boheme, Claude's, Walden's and places like that or as a crepe at the Creperie but that was some time ago.

I'm sure many others think of the same thing, actually - I was not aware that it referred to a particular dish. In French, 'coquilles Saint-Jacques' refers to any scallops served in their shell, not a specific preparation. Sorry for the confusion!
